The Silver Cliff Town Park is located at 1099 Fourth Street. A land trade in 1985 with Custer County provided this spectacular sit for this 8-acre park. In Dec. 2000, an additional 4 acres of property was purchased for park use. Through funding from Great Outdoors Colorado, local donations and hundreds of volunteer hours, park facilities include a baseball field and a lighted softball field with brick dug-outs, batting cage, basketball court, sand volleyball court, three horseshoe pits, picnic pavilion with fire pit, playground equipment, skateboard park, 80' x 100' roller skating rink, pickleball courts, concession stand/announcer booth, and restrooms. A Commemorative wall with a flag display with an American, Colorado and a POW flag standing tall.
SILVER CLIFF FUND DAY
Saturday, September 28, we held our 1st Annual Silver Cliff Community Park $FUND$ Day and to say it was a “fun day,” is an understatement!
Because of the support and generosity of our community, we received over $3,500 in donations and we cannot thank YOU enough. These dollars will go toward matching funds that we need for the Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) grant. Town administration should hear of the decision on this grant by the end of this month.
Mayor H.A. “Buck” Wenzel wishes to thank the following persons and businesses that made this event a success. Staff members: Ileen Squire, Wendy Stoup, Scott Rowley, Jessica Adams, Brylee Shy, Isaac Selden, and Shantell Squire.
Elected Officials: Mayor Pro Tem, Jake Shy, and Trustees Jordan Benson, Troy Bomgardner, and Joann Schlabach.

We had several friendly competitions during last Saturday’s Silver Cliff Community Park $FUND$ Day!The Town is happy to share the winners of each competition. Harrison Walter won the 4K Men’s Division, with Mary Walter prevailing in the Women’s Division. Mike Bannen was the winner in the always popular Pickleball competition. Steve Lasswell and Sid Smith out-threw their competitors to win the Cornhole tournament. Each of these folks chose his or her favorite Silver Cliff garb to proudly wear around Custer County and wherever else their heart’s desired to roam.
